I grew up just outside St. Augustine, Florida, where I learned early on that I love a challenge. For ten years, gymnastics was my world — long practices, chalked hands, and the constant pursuit of progress. When that chapter ended, I threw myself into academics with the same drive, always searching for something that would push me just as hard.
In high school, I started exploring photography and digital design. I loved how I could tell stories through images, but it wasn’t long before I realized what I really loved were the stories themselves — the words, the people, and the truths hiding in plain sight. As someone with dyslexia, I never pictured myself going into journalism, but that’s what makes it so meaningful. It’s a daily reminder that the things that scare us the most are often where we grow the most.
College brought me to Birmingham, Alabama — a place that quickly became home to so many of my biggest leaps. I spent one summer as a camp photographer in rural Missouri, learning how to see life through a different lens (literally). Then I packed my bags for London, where I spent four months soaking up every experience — traveling on weekends, journaling on trains, and falling in love with the feeling of being somewhere entirely new.
Now, I’m in this season of anticipation — ready for whatever’s next. I’m happiest when I’m outside my comfort zone, whether that’s hiking a trail, navigating a new city, or chasing down a story that matters. My work ethic comes from my dad, who built his business from the ground up and taught me that nothing replaces hard work and heart. That’s the foundation I carry with me — grit, curiosity, and an excitement for all that’s still to come.
