Student Profile
Hi, I'm Ashley Armstrong! I’m currently studying Journalism and Mass Communications at Samford University in Birmingham, AL, with a focus on Public Relations and Print Journalism. I’m passionate about communication and building meaningful connections.
After graduating in May 2026, I plan to pursue a master’s degree to further expand my knowledge and skills. I'm excited for what the future holds and look forward to growing both academically and professionally.
International Studies
While passionately pursuing my higher education, I’ve developed a love for global exploration and experiencing new cultures. During my time at Samford, I have had the opportunity to participate in a unique Study Abroad Program that allowed me to live in London, England, for a four month semester. This immersive experience included working in a hands-on internship while simultaneously taking classes, which greatly enriched my learning and broadened my perspective.
My Blog
My passion for journalism started with my love for writing letters. While I’m someone who could talk for hours, my most intentional and thoughtful work comes through when I put my thoughts on paper. I find that my stories often have a simple beginning but develop into deeper endings, meaning my writing never truly stops.
